Social Grade Kaupapa

Our Social Touch Grade is designed for players who want to enjoy the game in a fun, friendly, and inclusive environment. In this grade, participation, enjoyment, and sportsmanship take priority over high-performance competition and winning. Players of all abilities are welcome, with the minimum recommended age for participation being 16 years. Teams are expected to embrace the social nature of the competition by encouraging all players, respecting opponents, and contributing to a positive atmosphere both on and off the field.

Referees play an important role in ensuring games are safe, fair, and enjoyable for everyone. Players, coaches, and spectators are expected to treat referees with respect at all times. While questions may be asked respectfully, dissent, abuse, aggressive behaviour, or attempts to intimidate officials will not be tolerated. Referees are encouraged to manage games with a common-sense approach that supports the spirit of social competition while maintaining the rules and integrity of the game.

If you are wanting to enter a team with younger aged players, please reach out to admin@totaltouch.org.nz, 021 2868 240. Whilst we encourage family teams, teams need to be aware of the expectations of the competition.

Competitive/Elite Teams should enter one of the Elite Grades.

Referee Respect is still an expectation at this level
